RCMP VETERANS ASSOCIATION 125th ANNIVERSARY

To celebrate the historic milestone of the 125th Anniversary of the RCMP Veterans Association, the Nova Scotia Division of the RCMP Veterans' Association is making a 125th Anniversary vehicle licence plate holder available for anyone interested. They also have a lapel pin available (photos not available at this time). The vehicle plate is $10.00 and the lapel pin is $5.00. If both ordered, it would be $13.00, shipping included.

CEREMONIAL BLAZER UNIFORMS

The following information is provided for RCMP Veterans interested in purchasing a crested red blazer with RCMP buttons. There are three sources:

• Sufficient red serge material to make a blazer can be purchased directly from the RCMP Clothing Store in Ottawa. It is exactly the same material as the RCMP Red Serge. The cost of the material is $75.00. 4 x 17 mm RCMP buttons cost .65 cents each and 2 x 19 mm buttons cost .55 cents each. The material can then be taken to a local tailor of your choice. Crests and wedge caps can be purchased from Board Director Ron Budd at 604-535-5960 or rmbudd_[AT]_shaw.ca. • A recommended source for a crested red blazer is the Calgary Veteran’s Association. Have a local tailor take your measurements and send them to RCMP Veteran Jim Armstrong at 403-281-8019 or jim-lynn_[AT]_shaw.ca. The total cost of the blazer including the crest, buttons, and GST is $385.00 (for sizes 48 and over, the total cost is $462.00). There is no provincial tax. The material is purchased from RCMP HQ in Ottawa. Full payment must be made before the tailor will make the blazer. When completed, the blazer is sent C.O.D. by Greyhound Bus. Cheques should be made payable to:
