2012 AGM: May 27 to June 3, 2012

The AGM Organizing Committee has secured partners for flights and car rentals in order to provide these services at discounted rates. Please see below for information about flights to/from Vancouver and transportation to/from the cruise terminal.




Air Travel:

The AGM Organizing Committee has partnered with WestJet Airlines and is pleased to be able to offer attendees a 10% discount on regular fare prices (any price that does not say “seat sale” underneath). Booking dates that qualify for this discount must fall between May 20 and June 10th, 2012. The schedules for May and early June 2012 are now available for booking. Flights can originate anywhere in Canada and can fly into Vancouver (YVR) or Abbotsford (YXX).

Car Rentals:

The AGM Organizing Committee has partnered with AVIS rent a car to provide preferred rates to AGM2012 attendees. To receive your discount quote: AWD # C352158 at time of booking. You may do this by calling 1.800.879.2847 or visiting www.avis.ca . Discounts will be 5 – 10% off regular market rates or the following corporate rates (whichever is less).

Transfers:

The AGM Organizing Committee will have access to vans provided compliments of AVIS pre and post the cruise and can assist in transporting attendees to and from the airport and cruise terminal. As we are dependant on volunteers for this task it is critical you contact rcmpvets2012@cruiseshipcenters.com prior to April 1, 2012 to ensure we can accommodate your requirements. Ron Budd on the Organizing Committee will be in charge of coordinating transfer requests and will confirm your information once it has been received. Please ensure you have a confirmation for your transfer requests.

Parking:

The AGM Organizing Committee has secured some parking at HQ in Vancouver at 33rd and Heather. We have a limited number of spaces available for the week of May 27th – June 3rd, 2012 (sorry, no large RV’s can be accommodated). We are hoping to reserve these spots for our out of town guests that will be arriving by car. Please request your spot by emailing rcmpvets2012_[AT]_cruiseshipcenters.com prior to April 1, 2012. Ron Budd on the Organizing Committee will confirm your information once it has been received and processed. Spaces are on a first come first serve basis. Please submit your request as soon as you have your travel plans confirmed. Please ensure you have a confirmation of your request.
Other Parking options include Canada Place (at the pier) through www.vinciparkcanadaplace.ca (click on the Cruise Parking link) as well as long term parking at the Vancouver airport with the Canada line (Light rapid transit) providing service to Canada Place where the cruise terminal is located.

RV Parking:

If you are in need of RV parking we are currently in negotiation with Burnaby Cariboo RV Park who offers a Cruise and Stay package. Rates are not yet available for 2012. Watch the website for updates. They can be contacted at (604) 420-1722 or through email at camping_[AT]_bcrvpark.com
